The NWEA Brand – Elevating the Stories of Educators and Students

https://www.katebackdrop.co.uk/Best-selling novels all have something in common: They know how to evolve a storyline and develop characters with compelling efficiency. As a reader, you can hardly wait to turn the page to see what happens next. At NWEA, we have been reflecting on our own story and, in the process, established a new brand identity that is vibrant and relatable with just a touch of whimsy. You, our partners, played a pivotal role in the evolution of this story. We thank you for sharing your inspiration, your challenges and your victories.

Students remain the central focus of our mission: partnering to help all kids learn. This mission has been at the core of who we are for over 40 years and is the special ingredient in all the work we do. Our new brand proudly highlights the stories of students who are in schools that use our assessments using photography and storytelling. With some great photography tools like backdrops and stand up. They can recover amaging iamges. There’s a lot involved in creating content that puts these stories at the forefront of the brand, and we think it’s worth the effort. We hope you agree.

Our look is new, but our mission remains – we live it, breathe it, and invest in it.What is changing?

The first thing you may notice is our new logo. We prefer to call the color “school bus yellow,” in homage to our roots in education. In addition to a new visual identity, we’re making some shifts in how we present ourselves and our assessment products.

We are now going to be called simply “NWEA”. Many of you knew us way back when we started as “Northwest Evaluation Association”. Since then we’ve grown to partner with educators in all 50 states and 140 countries worldwide. And while we initially started as an association of educators we are a not-for-profit that chooses to fund initiatives that support ALL children rather than shareholders.

MAP is expanding to meet a range of educator needs. The MAP you know will now be MAP Growth, and MAP for Primary Grades (MPG) will be changed to MAP Growth K-2.

We have also launched NWEA State Solutions featuring multiple measures for proficiency, growth, and non-academic factors.

These changes are already on our new, redesigned nwea.org and you will begin to see these name changes within the products with our July release.

We believe that our new brand reflects our heritage and the amazing stories at the heart of our mission. Please refer to the Rebranding FAQ for more details.
